Not a totally new or unique thing, but I like the idea of having a light switch style control that “dims the lights” to improve readability/reduce eyestrain when reading longer texts (or really any text longer than a paragraph).
I believe that designers should approach the design and function of a website as more of an interface between the content and the user rather than an object in and of itself. This is an excellent example of that mentality.
